About

An Apple Home practice — not a dealer, not a handyman.

HarborKit Smart Homes is an independent Apple Home integration practice serving the Eastside — Bellevue, Mercer Island, Kirkland, Redmond, Sammamish — from a base in Renton. We work with affluent all-Apple households who want the Apple Home app and Siri to control every smart device in their home, including the ones Apple doesn't officially support.

We sit in a deliberate gap in the market. On one side: the luxury Control4 and Crestron dealers — five-figure rip-and-replace projects that push you off Apple's interface and onto a proprietary remote. On the other: electricians and handymen who'll mount a device but won't design a system. HarborKit is the rare middle path: Apple-native, specialist-grade, and yours to own.

Our work has two halves. The first is a one-time integration: we design the system, install it cleanly, document it in plain English, and bring the inevitable pile of mismatched gear (Ring, Nest, Wyze, Tuya, older Z-Wave) into one Home app. The second — and the part most homes need more than they realize — is the managed care plan that keeps it working through iOS updates, firmware changes, and the small things that drift.

Two principles we don't compromise on. You own your home. Every account, credential, and piece of hardware is in your name from day one; cancel any time and nothing breaks. And we publish our response times. When something needs attention, you should know exactly when to expect a human, not hope one shows up.
